End of the Macan diesel

It’s no longer on the UK configuration page, looks like Porsche are taking the hybrid route. Short term this will leave a big hole in Macan sales.

Seeing as Audi are still running the engine in the Q7 it will probably re appear in the Macan at some point.

Unless Porsche have decided to ditch diesel altogether moving forward. Which would be no bad thing

There will be no more diesel Porsches. Cayennes, Panameras and Macans will be petrol only. This is why Porsche is stopping petrol car production for EU countries from May to September. Its all tied up with EU emission quotas. The factories will still be producing cars for the rest of the world, not shutting down.

I can't see diesels being dropped. They account for a lot of sales volume and a lot of people wouldn't consider a petrol SUV.

Difficult to see how they'll meet their overall CO2 target without diesels, unless there's a huge effort to bring forward hybrids and Mission E asap - in other words maybe to launch them before they're properly ready.
