Charging iPhone X?

Anyone else tried charging their iPhone X through USB and their Macan? Mine hasn't been charging and I think I found out why, I get an error that says the device is requesting too much power. Does the car just need a firmware update?

Mine is a march 17 and have charged my X since I got it a few weeks after launch with no issues

Our Macan GTS is an October 2017 car with no issues charging the iPhone X.

December 16 GTS and no problems at all
Suggestion
Replace your iPhone cable if you have not already
Have you tried it on the rear usb connectors to see what happens?
