Spec change/colour wheels....New GTS ordered!

So ... went to Silverstone ready to order my New Carrera White GTS.... and to my amazement they had an identical white SD with the spec( outside) that I had chosen, all but the wheels! I have to say that the pictures posted make the car look very special to my eye, however the reality was some what very different.. I basically did not like it even though we took a palladium alloy outside to rest again the car. Two things I must say , firstly the wheel was not what I had expected.. it’s a bit flat with little shine, and the surface didn’t feel nice and smooth, I don’t think they are lacquered highly... secondary the black door handles stood out a great deal more than I thought. In fact I would I have been a bit disappointed if this Macan had been unveiled to me at pick up. So went for the safe option and very classy Volcano grey, with turbo 21s... as per the one that was sitting outside there front doors! Still over the moon though.. the moral is of course don’t relie on pictures!

That's certainly a last minute swerve in colour. Just shows the benefit of seeing what your going to order in the flesh.

I swayed between black and volcano grey when ordering my car. They had a VG Turbo in the OPC today that looked very similar to that picture and it looked great. Good choice!

Very true what you say, Mike!

When I ordered my Panamera 4, on the way to the OPC I was 99% set on Volcano Grey...

Then I saw their Carmine Red Panamera SD outside in the sunshine and that was it!

Months later I fell in love with their Racing Yellow GT4...

Not long afterwards, I ordered my new 911 Carrera T...

...in Racing Yellow!

+1. Saw a Volcano Grey Macan Turbo at the OPC recently, with the 21" 911 Turbo alloys. Very smart.
