Mike, I will be making enquiries, but on a commercial basis, OPCs are far more likely to offer free storage and changeovers if you've invested in a wheels/tyres set, rather than merely bought four tyres. And the tyres alone will take up as much storage space for them as would wheels with tyres. And as you say, more work involved with changing tyres, with more risk of damaging wheels and/or tyres.

If it’s anything like Formula 1, they can change your 4 wheels in 10 seconds but changing tyres is going to take a fair bit longer! Must be a market for a “drive through”

I thought you weren't going to waste any time on me - but as far as I can see your only reasoning is someone told me Winter tyres are for Winter, without understanding winter is not the same everywhere.
