Following my pick up of my new Macan on Saturday and the drive home North yesterday I have today had the opportunity to test my new SD in its everyday urban environment. I have to say that I have been very pleasantly surprised at how comfortable the standard suspension feels with the 21” Sports Classics. My daily route to my office includes some fairly dire potholed B roads and a cobbled street. The ride somewhat strangely is more comfortable than my previous Macan on 20” Spyders with all seasons which previously I had thought was pretty good. I can only think that Porsche have tinkered with the standard steel suspension set up.

I suspect they have? See the thread running about the fact that Porsche have removed the extra support bars from the front 'anti roll bar' in the engine bay, I suspect to 'soften' up the front end?

That makes sense. My old car had the extra bar. My new one does not -nsm3 wrote: ↑Mon Mar 12, 2018 6:35 pm I suspect they have? After 450 miles my new Macan has developed a metallic creaking noise which started today. If I press the sides of the bonnet it replicates the noise. Will have to book it into Porsche Leeds for the bonnet to be adjusted under warranty. Never had any rattles or creaks with my previous Macans.

I had that, particularly on first setting off and it was worse on colder days. OPC seem to have fixed it by adjustment.

Have booked my car in for warranty work as in addition to the rattles from the bonnet hinges/guide rails I now have rattles from the pan roof , tailgate and some buzzing from passenger door . Never had any rattles from my previous two Macans . Not a happy bunny at the moment as the car creaks like an old bus at the moment. OPC could not fit me in for 2 weeks if I needed a courtesy car so will have to put up with creaks for next 2 weeksmark-yorkshire wrote: ↑Tue Mar 20, 2018 6:42 pm After 450 miles my new Macan has developed a metallic creaking noise which started today. Oh dear. Not good. Hope they fix it to your satisfaction, Mark, and that you get a nice loaner.
