I've been watching one at Solihull, was £63, then £59, now £58k. They aren't rushing out the doors anymore, that's for sure.

My latest this week from WBAC on my now departed 23,000 mile May 2015 SD is £36500.

WBAC is about as reliable as a cheap Changi watch WRT car values so I would discount what they offer. Personally I think the residuals on a diesel will take a short term hit and then recover well as they become sought after in the second hand market so no real problem buying one.

Have had plenty of OPCs offer me less than WBAC. If you bought a low spec Macan you would definitely do better selling to WBAC than to an OPC.

Speccing a new diesel Macan to over £60,000 is just silly to start with.

Quote from Car Buyer......"There's been a lot of talk about diesel recently. Porsche has withdrawn its diesel models from sale for the time being and Toyota's diesel future is in doubt, too."

It is just a fill in article with nothing really new.

The costs quoted are very general and not applicable to us.

By my reckoning at todays pricing and 10k miles per year my Turbo costs me £730 a year more than my SD would have cost me.

I had it at about £1000.. more for a GTS in comparison to my 640d, I averaged about 40 mpg over 4 and a half years, although it’s dropped to 38 these days as I now drive shorter journeys. Which leads me on to asking.. is the GTS meant to be run on the premium fuel.. or can you run it on the normal octane, i always have used shell.

Definitely the premium fuel ⛽️ with the higher RON rating, as advised in the handbook and on the sticker by the fuel filler cap.
