Good long drive today

Last week, we did 650 miles in one day from London down to Bordeaux in France..... Some heavy crawling traffic on the autoroute at times and at others it was an 80mph/130kmh cruise. Arrived feeling very fresh. Standard comfort seats were superb. It was supremely refined on the French smooth roads. I think 19 inch tyres work well in this respect with their smaller contact area for road noise. Fully laden with four on board we did 35mpg. Touring down here we're getting just under 40mpg (both measured at pump). Am very pleased.
