"On another note, will Pirelli tyres be more expensive? This site has always made me poorer in any case."

Pirelli is now owned by a Chinese tyre maker. Although their European tyres are still largely made in the EU, inc the UK.

Their involvement in F1 will not see their road tyres drop to Chinese level prices though!

Nearly everything I've read from Porsche owners says they'd prefer Michelins to Pirellis. :geek:

Regardless of the politics some of the downsides are beginning to surface as the VCA, and British automotive expertise, loses another customer to doubts about the future.

On a total contract of about £400-£450. So around 11%!

It was £100 million, according to their CEO on the Jeremy Vine show yesterday? That is an overshoot of over 20%.

They need some better pencil sharpeners! (British made ones, of course  )
