Don’t think tweets are particularly appropriate for a serious complaint.
For a car bought new with a full network service history on 28000 miles, a well constructed letter to Porsche Customer Services in Reading should bring sort of some contribution to the replacement. Only in the event of a negative response should you contact the Ombudsman (because you will have demonstrated your willingness to be reasonable)

I politely emailed Porsche GB in advance of a visit to dealer so I could be armed with some info. Not interested... almost automated response

Any progress, Mouldy72, in getting Porsche to cough-up for your second transfer case, with the car being out of warranty? Or anyone else come to that. I imagine Mouldy is not alone, unfortunately!

Did the modified transfer box go in to later registered cars? I have the 2017 MY March 2017 S Diesel? Anyone with a 17 plate or later suffer from a transfer box failure? Mine appears ok and just done 20k

Coming up to 25k on my MY 2017 (17 plate Macan S Diesel) - needs a new transfer box. Glad still in warranty....

Ref Porsche GB not showing any interest, a similar situation occured with a new BMW G29 Z4, where BMW UK showed no interest in an intermittant fault, the owner not satisfied, went to BMW Germany, by email and telephone, and recieved an apology and a new car to the same spec, admittedly it was only a few months old.

If Porsche GB remain disinterested, think about contacting Germany direct.

Anyone seen Porsche's redesigned transfer box breather? How does it work compared with the original design? I've hunted for info., or even just a photo, to shed some light on the improved design but not a sausage. I may be purchasing a s/hand Macan and would wish to confirm that the breather is the redesigned one. I do understand that if the TB has been replaced under warranty, it's probably possible to confirm replacement part numbers with Porsche, but for me it would be be nice to know what to look for, even with it being a fairly inaccessible part.

TIA
