Here's a quick cut of the first 30s of the first race. I'll post the links when I've done the full highlights.
We had 59 cars start and I started 18th overall. I finished 13th if I remember correctly, need to check the results!
What a brilliant clip!
I think Verstappen copied your technique in Sunday’s F1 race!

Thought it was time to bump the thread.....as today I did my first trackday in it! My mate has just bought a Cayman GT4 and I was going to go along to watch, but yesterday I decided to sign up for the day at Bedford. Got there this morning, noise test guy said 'good man' when I said I was taking it out. Then came an issue when the guy running the day said they didn't allow such heavy cars but as they hadn't picked it up, they would let me go out.
It performed very well, to the limits of what such a heavy and tall car can do. I got to use Sport Chrono, was in Sport Plus mode all day and discovered PSM Sport mode which turns off the TC and stability control enough to let you slide the car out of corners and get a bit of wheelspin. I was hitting 130+ on the straight and it was the brakes that limited what the car could do. Two full on laps was enough, then you needed to cool them down.
I got under 10 mpg. The car estimated I had 72 miles left with just over half a tank. Sports Chrono lets you choose a reference lap, and then gives you an ahead / behind indication vs that lap. It also tells you how many more laps you can do with the fuel you got.

My best was actually 3:07. It was far from a race.....so no-one was killing themselves for a time. The manual 2011 Cayman R that was there was 3:03, the 2022 Cayman GT4 PDK was 2:48. I sat in the Cayman GT4 as a passenger, the grip and the brakes were both extremely impressive - it was on cup type tyres. My Macan was on the original P Zeros.
Time's not important, it's how close to the limit you can get and how much you enjoy it that counts!
