Great job! . Like Hamilton or Verstappen starting from the back of the grid!

Winter tyres exist for winter conditions. They improve breaking and grip.
Once you have experienced a 2 ton monster losing grip and sliding sideways at slow speed you will get the idea. Until then, and hoping there isn't a 'then', good luck with the risk taking.
My own view, for what it's worth, is that if you can afford a high performance car the correct tyres ought to come with the territory. Agreed though, the uneven and variable UK weather makes intelligent choice a challenge.

I see ałso, Michelin are now offering the new cross-climates in larger sizes; I could get a pair for the front of my GTS (but not the rear)

It is thanks to this forum and the wise advice of folks like Nuclear Nick that I’ll be getting my first ever set of winter tyres fitted next month.

Wait until the temperatures are 7C or lower consistently for the best benefit. Winter tyres are wonderful, but you do get tread block shuffle when temperatures are higher.Wing Commander wrote: ↑Fri Sep 28, 2018 6:41 pmMacadam wrote: ↑Fri Sep 28, 2018 8:59 am Winter tyres exist for winter conditions.
