Thanks. Have booked in for 17th October, but obviously trying to second guess the British weather is an inexact science! ;)

Somehow the winter tyre thread has migrated into this one, nust after I posted pictures of GT3s!

Thanks for the advice about the temperature WinCo.

(I had to Google 'tread block shuffle'. It sounded like a 'Strictly come dancing' move). ;-)

Wait until the temperatures are 7C or lower consistently for the best benefit. Winter tyres are wonderful, but you do get tread block shuffle when temperatures are higher.
A 2 tonne car is going to make the tread blocks move - above and below 7C. Pushing it a little on winters will make you realise that very quickly. The difference is the stopping distance on typical UK greasy roads. The 100% rule applies to all tyres.

More interesting for sure than talking about moving tread blocks :-). How was it? The weather looks great.

Canโ€™t be Spa; itโ€™s not raining!๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚

Seriously, weโ€™ve been to the Kart track there for the May bank holiday weekend and experienced over the 2 days, in order, sunburn / hailstones / flooding / and more sunburn!

Hope you got the results you wanted Charles๐Ÿ‘

Race 1 was very exciting, started 18th (of 60) overall and finished 13th. Race 2 tomorrow morning.
