Nice report VanB:-
- You seem to get the same fuel economy as my 3.4C2, which I though was OK for 345BHP! - so that is great :o ;
- I agree with WinCo on normal mode, I don't think it is so much turbo lag (have briefly driven a couple of 991.2s and did not notice it) rather the throttle/gear-change response is softened. You can say it’s for economy (which you are proving works) but I would also say to accommodate the less attuned driver to help stop them being torpedoed into the back of the car in front .

Apropos of nothing - I let the missus have a drive on the weekend, and she affirmed that it was as easy (and similar) to drive as her Mini :? (don’t think we saw much over 2000RPM).
This is a very good point, Ferdie which I hadn't considered as the car can go off like a frightened rabbit if your inputs are a bit on the agricultural side!

And please refer to VanB's idea on another thread that it would be great if someone orders a Lava Orange 911! ;) :lol:

Won’t be me! Too much stuff to get in the car in the mornings for a 911 at the moment. 3 children (only 2 mine) with school bags, games bags, trombone... It will be a while if it ever happens!

Apparently OPCs are buying in cars now from Porsche that they have specked up. Generally a mix with basic up to full speck so they will have cars to sell over the summer. Who knows? Maybe some bargains inOctober if any haven’t sold!
