Absolutely, will post some pics and a balanced review when I’ve covered some more miles. I’ve got 3 days in North Wales at the end of May, so will be a good opportunity for pictures and some enjoyable driving too.

It does sound great Col, particularly on a cold start up. One downside though is that the best sound comes from having the car in race mode, but in that mode everything is turned off such as ESP etc, so you are on your own. With 510hp, a setting to be used with caution on the road, particularly if at all damp.

Quite a few owners have done what Alfa UK arguably could have done and fitted a mod that can,via a remote, keep the exhaust valves open in all modes. One owner is even currently looking at a way to make this very OEM by linking it to an unused button on the dash almost like a proper switchable sports exhaust. I wonder if when Alfa UK do a facelift, they might incorporate this. Would be an option many would tick I suspect.

Posting this video for a few reasons:

1. If you don’t ever follow this guy, he does some good stuff. He’s a photographer by profession I think, so his films are usually well shot. He’s also based in Switzerland, so always pretty amazing scenery. He’s also a big Porsche fan and does some great content on Porsche product.

2. For anyone interested in the QF, just listen to some of the noises it makes!!

3. Watch or skip to about 90 seconds from the end and see and hear what turns up on the mountain at sunset!
