Apparently not.SRDL wrote: ↑Mon Apr 23, 2018 4:08 pm Have checked the “Good to know” app and the Auto Stop Start function is not available in a number of scenarios including:
“When an attached trailer is detected (bicycle carrier connector or trailer connector plugged in)
The Auto Start Stop function must be deactivated manually if a trailer hitch from another manufacturer is installed on the vehicle.”
Presumably there is some way of switching it off so that you don’t get a constant alarm?

Sadly not.CharlesElliott wrote: ↑Mon Apr 23, 2018 4:11 pm I haven't tried it but maybe if you switch it off via the button it will stop the warning.

Yes but that's not the problem here. Turning it off has no effect on the stupid warning chime.

I agree it’s annoying but I seem to have tuned it out. When I’m towing, 99% of the miles don’t involve stopping so it’s only at the start and end of the journey that I notice it.
Macan GTS: PH1UFLL8
Our Q5 registers the towbar as a proximity alert in reverse and so did the previous one. Wish there was a way to combat the tailgate opening disabledment, without disconnecting the electrical hitch? I guess it's a simple, cover all situations, paintwork saver though!

As I recall if there was an electrical connection then Sart/Stop was OFF. Certainly was no warning about it. Obvioulsy got trailor symbol up when reversing. No issues unless some safety require has changed it??
