I didn’t like my bolsters that much in any case 😊!

Mike and his Macan wrote: ↑Fri Jun 01, 2018 5:36 pm Hi all.. as posted before we know there is an issue of wear on the bolsters of the 18 way seats, iv only cover 300 miles and am seeing small signs of wear on the bottom part... see photo, it’s more of a friction mark ( shadow in photo) I spoke with the opc and they informed me that it can be repaired when it gets to point of it being an eyesore, apparently for around Β£150. Reading up on leather creams etc, Gtechnic reckons that no cream will soak into the leather as it’s got a protective coating on it ... so they advise a friction spray, they sell for around Β£20... has anyone used it? Also can you use a scotch guard spray on the Alcantara parts? Would be interesting to hear what people have tried.

I'd be tempted not to worry about it. I noticed similar markings on my 18 way seats when I'd had a car only a few weeks however it's more or less the same now 15 months later.

I use gliptone cleaner and cream. Mine look as new after 7,000 miles and 18 months but I don’t sit on them as I get in and out either.

Gliptone is great, the cream keeps the leather supple, reducing the chance of cracking but, even better, has that old world leather smell, really evocative 8-)

Have used Zymol cleaner and conditioner for the last 20 years.

It does what it says on the bottles.

Whilst it may seem expensive not much is needed to either clean or condition the leather.

I use the Porsche Leather Conditioner to 'massage' into the exact same area on my 18way seats. Mine do look a little more worn in the same area but if you keep the leather supple it will not dry out and crack. All part of the 'patina' !? ;)
