Price dependant, the 2.0 could be a belter!
Facelift
Thanks, interesting. But difficult to make much judgement until more is known about performance, consumption, CO2, weight etc. And timescale still seems to be pretty vague.

Odd that AutoExpress say the 2.0 engine remains the same, but Autocar quote a significant rise in horsepower?!

I’m sure that a small 2.0 engine even with 300bhp and less weight will use just as much fuel as a 3.0l , sounds interesting though.

Autoexpress usually light on facts. I’d believe Autocar.

The Autocar review is probably more or less right on the engine specs.
Shame the facelifted rear end and interior are hidden.

In theory, the lower friction losses of a four cylinder engine should give better fuel consumption than a six cylinder rated at the same power. However, there are many other factors affecting fuel consumption.Mike and his Macan wrote: ↑Tue Jun 05, 2018 8:08 pm I’m sure that a small 2.0 engine even with 300bhp and less weight will use just as much fuel as a 3.0l , sounds interesting though.

It's still a heavy car to lug around so doubt you would see much in the way of fuel economy improvement. The engine may be 300 hp but wonder what torque it puts out compared to the 3.0 V6 which will most certainly make a difference
