Fuel consumption
Has anyone played Beat the PDK and been able to measure the results? I have tried but it’s like sucking a Fruit Pastille.

4 on board, full of holiday luggage , air con on, 130 miles at a steady 70 to 75 because of morning traffic, we averaged 38 mpg on the computer from Gatwick to Leicestershire earlier in the week
2.0T Macan. Some of you will probably think that the 2.0 can’t actually go any quicker than that anyway

100 hours of driving now in my GTS. Getting around 26mpg on my regular motorway/A road run at ave speed of about 50, but less than 20mpg on my London driving. All in all the London stuff drags the average economy down to a low 20.
I’ve tried switching the dash display to various settings to avoid me looking at the distance and economy screen, but always find myself sucked back to it and spend as much time looking at that as I do the road, thinking about how much it is costing me per mile compared to my Golf GTD.
Still love it though. As does the owner of my local fuel station!

All this cr4p about high mpg sucks, we drive a Porsche, if you want fuel economy by a VW Polo

Interestingly, I did the trip down to Gatwick 2 weeks ago late in the evening and I wasn’t hanging around as the traffic was light but was careful not to lose my licence and it still showed 34 mpg on the computerCaster wrote: ↑Fri Aug 03, 2018 10:52 pmNice one + good to see you were holding back on the throttlegtipirelli wrote: ↑Fri Aug 03, 2018 2:42 pm 4 on board, full of holiday luggage , air con on, 130 miles at a steady 70 to 75 because of morning traffic, we averaged 38 mpg on the computer from Gatwick to Leicestershire earlier in the week

Just over 6000 miles in my GTS and I am averaging 17mpg . Best I've managed is 30mpg on a run to Heathrow. Having too much fun to be bothered about mpg.

I don’t think many of us are all that bothered about mpg but just find it interesting
