Painful reading on the Honest John website, Macans fitted with ‘impermissible defeat devices’ that led to increased emissions of harmful nitrogen oxides are all being recalled to have their cheat software changed! This is thanks to the Audi V6 diesel engine. One owner reports fuel consumption of 2014 Porsche Macan V6 diesel increased dramatically after NOx emissions fix, down from 42 to 37 on long runs and from 39 to 33 on shorter runs.

Well, not having to drive around in a diesel whilst it’s being fixed must be nice :-)
Used to have 2016 Macan Turbo PHCKCL70
Previously a 2014 Macan Turbo.
Now a 2021 Tesla Model 3 LR
