Hello All

im not sure if you remember, but since owning my Macan S after a month of having it it started to have a vibration/rattle at idle. Ive mentioned it in other posts. Anyhow, after what has been a long 9 months since, ive finally worked and came to a understanding with the OPC to swap it (with a injection of cash from me, plus the OPC putting some skin in the game)..

The newish car (10 months old) is now on the drive. :) AND I bloody love it.! man what a significant change to the S Petrol it is

Congrats, Iain! A Turbo PP - very nice indeed! Glad that you and the OPC reached a satisfactory conclusion to negotiations. :)

Cheers All

as for the injection.. :) it was enough money for me to agree with Mrs Smith, that I won't spend for 6 months :)

First job, was to clean the car properly. (decontamination process, wash, clay, wash again, machine swirl removal, machine final finish, seal then finally wax.) 15 hours total spent on the car.

Yeah. im seriously impressed with the car.

Sidepoint:
Im currently searching for someone/company local to the Leeds Area who will respray the boot emblem/model etc from chrome to gloss black to match the rest of the car. Anyone had this done?

Is it not easier / cheaper to order new badges from the dealership and simply swap?

I changed my original SD chrome “Porsche” and “ Macan” badges to black (admittedly matt,) and repositioned the “ GTS” badge on my current one.

If a black gloss badge is available as a factory option it will be available from the parts dept.

Porsche Leeds, have confirmed that gloss black isn't available through the parts department. However for £175 I can buy the wording and they will gloss paint the new set and put them on the car..

I think its a good deal.!?
