You are right that you are not obliged to say anything unless you are asked a direct question. Highly unlikely anyone would ask anything about an engine replacement I guess it's just me who would feel guilty if I didn't mention it to a perspective buyer as it is a major replacement.Nuclear Nick wrote: ↑Wed Jul 11, 2018 8:50 amWhat do you mean about the mileage? Why would it be any different with a new engine?
And from a prospective buyers perspective, why should it make any difference if it's been installed properly? You're not obliged to say anything about it unless you're asked the direct question, and why would they?

Hi … Yes I am currently averaging around 17 mpg. I am in Sport most of the time and having a heavy right foot doesn't help either . The best I have managed is around 30mpg when on the motorway.

Welcome, Richjmitch.
Fingers crossed that your Porsche Centre provide you with a satisfactory outcome, and a decent (Porsche) loan car in the interim!

I'm averaging 17mph on my turbo also. Again. Quite heavy right foot. The best I've achieved is 26mph on a run.. Then got bored..

I am new to this group. Has anyone had to have an engine replacement on a 2018 Macan? First was told it was bad fuel. They replace fuel pump and injectors, took car for test drive and it ceased up. Now telling me I need a new engine. Wondering if I should keep car or replace with 2020 model. Appreciate feedback.

Welcome moryed.
Hopefully being replaced under warranty?
If the work is being done by an official Porsche centre (OPC) and you are happy with the car when it is fixed then I would suggest keeping it. Otherwise, if it is always going to play on your mind and make you unhappy then replace it, but I would expect Porsche to give you a very good deal in this case.
