Looks like some official Porsche footage included, but after the first 5 minutes of talking mostly about lights, the rest just seems to be silent padding. So where's the real Porsche video - this is surely just an imposter?

The first 6 minutes is definitely the official Porsche video as the voiceover is the same man that does all the Porsche video voiceovers. The rest of the video is I suspect just silent video shots for the press.

Oh, I don't doubt that. I was just reacting to the total rash of Youtube ripoffs that appear on the day that a new car embargo lifts. Here's an experiment:

Search YT for 'Porsche Macan' and then filter by upload date = 'Today'...

Like on Piston Heads, they got the current engine line up wrong. The current S and GTS do not have the 3.6 litre V6.

It's as if everyone is copying each other's articles.
Our stable:

Hi Dave,

Autocar mentions a modest hike to about 256bhp, saying the larger petrol engines should see a bigger power hike.

Cheers,

In general, I do like the Autogefuhl reviews as typically detailed and balanced (albeit with too much emphasis on the small details of the exterior styling and some curious antipathy towards 'animal skin' - why not call it leather like everyone else?). But this was one of the more poorly presented ones, sad to say, The footage of the Macan FL, especially the inside, was good to see, but the commentary added virtually nothing - IMHO of course.
I agree completely. In my opinion, their main presenter, Thomas, is excellent. This chap was, I think, both cheesy and not very informative. :( Five minutes of content stretched to three times that length.

Thomas does seem to be running a one man crusade against leather interiors in cars. He clearly thinks referring to leather (accurately) as animal skin is more emotive and may hopefully (in his view) have an effect in car buyers demanding more choice of car interior materials such as Alcantara and Sport-Tex etc. :ugeek:
