Official design rationale. And the odd mention about bells n whistles.

VG Petrol S http://www.porsche-code.com/PHIVCQU7           And a GT3 RS... by Lego! Not crash-tested! 😀

I looked on the website and even downloaded the brochure. It's amazing that there is so much information about the "new" car apart from one minor detail: what makes it go.

If just some of the motoring journalists are right it looks as if when the order book opens in September only the 2L will be on offer. We'll have to wait until then for the final answer on just how powerful the engine will or will not be. What is more worrying is it's beginning to look that we'll be waiting until the end of the year for accurate information on the rating of the 3L.

The cost to Porsche and other manufacturers of the WLTP compliance deadline must be astronomic.

Looks pretty good to me, although it would take an all new model to tempt me back into a Porsche. Basically something to rival the iPace. I don't think there's even going to be a hybrid one of these is there?

I'm sure I read somewhere that it would take too much of a platform alteration to incorporate a hybrid version. Strong possibility of a BEV version in 2022.

That's what I thought too. A very long wait indeed!

It would take more than a new model to tempt me back to any JLR product,I’ve had them poor build quality, poor reliability and dire dealership service,Porsche beat them in every way,
Another point you’d have to be a very brave man or just plain stupid to purchase any new model from JLR give it 3 years for them to iron the problems out before even considering purchasing one.

That sort of does not make sense.

The Audi e Tron is here now, saw one yesterday outside the local dealership.

Porsche need a full EV far earlier than 2022, the market will be awash with EVs by then and the platform is there now.
