It is with a heavy heart that we are parting company with our Macan SD. We had planned to keep the car for at least the next 10 years which we do with most cars but after suffering issues with the DPF have no option but to leave the Macan World. It's been a great car with great performance and economy stifled in my opinion by legislation and the introduction of DPF filters and hokey software that governs them. It's been great to chat on this forum and I will still be dipping in to the Cayman register on the Porsche Club Forum so thanks for all your advice, assistance and comments.

The legislation has been pushed in too fast, most diesels have occasional problems.

Certainly applies to some of our John Deeres and my Mazda.

It's just a pity the problems are so random.

I loved the Cayman and chose to drive that at Silverstone, maybe if the 996 gets tired?
