I got to drive every one EXCEPT the 911. When it came to our turn it was getting late and the OPC girls, being aware of this, hurried things along a bit. As a result the guy who was in the 911 just sat there. Came blame him, but...! I made a point of mentioning this to Dan! Which Porsche/s did you drive?
Is your deposit on a facelift Macan?
Yes, I have a deposit on a facelift but haven’t yet decided whether to commit. I guess it depends on exactly what it has to offer engine wise. I’m certainly not minded to go ahead without seeing and driving the model I would want. But with the residuals being very healthy at present - there are only 9 used petrol S examples on Porsche’s books nationwide and, apparently, very few 16 plate examples were registered at all - I’m very tempted.
I have to say we were mightily impressed with the Cayenne Hybrid. Although far too big for our needs it certainly give me a flavour for, say, a Macan version. The next Macan in about 2022 will be an EV with maybe a hybrid after that so it’s going to be some time yet - if it comes at all - so far too long to hang on to Kitty, I think. With the stage changing radically in the next few years who knows what going to come along.
