Power steering plus retrofit?

Forgive me if I've missed this, I had a search but didn't find what I was looking for - I'm just interested if anyone has had this retrofitted to their Macan and if they can say was there much difference and how much was it? I believe it's just a software tweak, but not 100% sure?

Yes, it is just a software tweak and iirc it/s c £189. Haven't had it done as can't see the point but others seem to like it. Guess it depends on how heavy you find your steering without it. Seems like a lot to lighten steering at parking speeds that you can turn with one finger in any case!

Didn’t have it on my SD, had it “ fitted” at PDI by the dealership (long story, but to do with my extended wait due to PCM shortages in May ‘16 and a commercial gesture)
Yes, just a software thing and only gives extra assistance up to a certain, low speed.

I had this retro fitted to my GTS after delivery as my wife found the steering heavy when parking. It was worth the money to stop her moaning but do feel it should be standard. Word of warning though, it took my OPC 4 days to do it as they did not get the code from Porsche until the car was in the workshop, not sure why as it was booked in for about 4 weeks in advance, so be sure to ask for a loan car

Did not have power steeering plus on my first two Macans but my current Macan came with it. I never thought the steering on my first two Macans was heavy but did notice the difference at parking speeds when I got my current Macan.

Booked it in with Porsche Wilmslow next week so they can get the code for the work in time from Porsche, it's £202 and should take around an hour.

An update to this thread.... I just had PS+ retrofitted by Porsche to my GTS. Cost was £274 inc VAT.
