Fourteen way seats

A bit of trivia really, but puzzling. At the weekend our eagle-eyed daughter spotted that the plastic shells on the back of the front seats are different shapes. The passenger seat curves inward about halfway down, but the driver's seat back curves out. Curious, she then searched Macan reviews, and found that on the What Car review, at https://www.whatcar.com/porsche/macan/4 ... acticality, the blue S has the inward curve on the back of the driver's seat, with the back of the passenger seat curving outwards, but the silver Macan has the back of the driver's seat curving out - you can't see the back of the passenger seat. Rather odd!
Aren't the seats in the Blue one in the video “standard” seats with the alcantara centres?
Maybe that’s the explanation...

Well spotted. But it doesn't explain why the seat backs are different, and different in a different way to the 14 way seats. If there's a logic to the passenger seat back being inward curving with 14 way seats, whilst the driver's seat is outward curving, why are the standard seats the opposite way round?

I wonder how many forum members went out to look at their seats immediately? I'll check if I remember,
Dolomite Silver 'S' with red leather 14 way seats, Pano roof, Bose, Air suspension with pasm, Chrono pack, PDLS, Surround view, 911 turbo wheels, heated screen, spare wheel, ioniser,75 lt tank, black tail pipes, black roof rails.
I would have never noticed this in a million years, but it does seem odd. There has to be an official explanation for this, no?
Here are my favorite payday loans to check out.
