Perhaps the suspension mods allow for an improved ride on the 21s. Or more likely another way of extracting extra £££s?
There appear to be 4 types of 20" wheels....

How many more choices do you want??!
Simply more choices! There’s too many variations on the same design.

You raise a valid point. If you're looking for variations in design you could always just take the standard rims with the car and look to aftermarket options such as Momo or OZ Racing. Even BBS do some awesome looking rims. You have loads to choose from and you could part finance by flogging your standard jobbies off the Macan you just bought! Just a thought!

That’s an idea. Lazy me would like a one stop shop. 🤔 And would non standard wheels threaten the warranty?

If you're just replacing the wheels without any modifications, I wouldn't see any reason why it would invalidate a warranty.

For me, non standard wheels never look great on a premium car.

OK for a £1000 Ford.

Don’t know but I get the impression from seasoned owner that Porsche can be sensitive.

And back to one other question, is it conceivable that the suspension upgrade makes for a more acceptable ride on the 21s. It does appear as if Porsche believe they’re the main focus.

How does this square up? China is Porsche's largest market for the Macan by a long way and they're going through an emissions crackdown. It's no fluke that's where the facelift was launched and where it's hoped they'll continue their sales success. Porsche isn't stupid...
So “technological vanguard” means a detuned version of the existing 4 cylinder 2.0 petrol 🤔

I think your thought process is too linear and rather directly literal when it comes to this particular point. I would venture that their comment was quite general and brand specific not model specific and certainly not specific to this particular release. They are, however, looking to capitalise on their largest market, their largest demand profile and their largest growth market generally to generate the revenue growth which supports their view on technology in, I would suggest, other models or indeed other variants.

When you view it like that, yes, it gels!

Non-Porsche wheels would affect the car’s resale value, negatively.
