Some of Porsche's alloys are hideous. Have you seen Techart's and Hamman's alloys for the Macan? I disagree with your view here!Wing Commander wrote: ↑Wed Oct 03, 2018 8:31 pmNon-Porsche wheels would affect the car’s resale value, negatively.

VG Petrol S http://www.porsche-code.com/PHIVCQU7 And a GT3 RS... by Lego! Not crash-tested!
More choices on 20 inch wheels is a good move, it's actually the best for the vehicle handling and still retains a good look. Why are so many bemoaning the limitation of the changes, it has been well known for many months and it's just a facelift, when have Porsche done much more? Why so much discussion about the 2 litre, who on earth buys that? Except of course Wingco and that was short lived . Still do want to see what the new turbo set up looks like before I commit. Really still like the one I've got.

If you want a 2.0 there are quite a few 68 plate and 18 plate per reg cars on the Porsche UK approved website. Must be good deals to be had on these cars.

Ask at any OPC. They will offer you less for your car with non-Porsche wheels, guaranteed.GMAN75 wrote: ↑Wed Oct 03, 2018 9:23 pmSome of Porsche's alloys are hideous. Maybe a slightly different case if the Porsche in question is years old and would never appear on an OPC forecourt.

My error was not to go straight for a brand new 911.

Personally I think the base Macan (and perhaps the future S) has a problem.. i.e. the much improved and more practical entry level Cayenne with its 6 cyl. engine and 340hp which is only a mere £9k more than the base 4 cyl. Macan... The Cayenne also comes with a nicer standard interior IMO. Yes, running costs come into play and the slightly different looks, but I'd really struggle to justify going for a base or future S model Macan given how good the new entry level Cayenne is.. it's just my pov having experienced both in the past.

I agree, that a Cayenne is so much nicer inside, and I do like the improved look. But they are so much bigger too, sadly for us.
And no clam shell shaped bonnet!

I got into a base cayenne and was underwhelmed, and then realised how much I would have to spend making it feel more premium , a bit like the Macan in a way I suppose.
