There tends to be no allowance in the residual for options, so, in effect, you pay for your options 100% over the term of the PCP. So, a highly specced car (say £50k plus £20k options) would be more per month than a £60k car with £10k options

No matter how i spec my Macan, it's all comes to +/- 100K euro or 88K GBP. Same for old S Diesel and same for 'new' Petrol Base. I guess too many options to tick. p.s. pound depreciation as well. my 3 year old 'new' config was 'only' 77k GBP in 2015.
There are very little real world advantages for me to demand bigger engine over this new de-tuned base one. But it is strictly written deep in my head, I would not fork out 100 grand for a base Macan model. Just noway. I guess i'm stuck in limbo state now. Time to move for 911 in 992 form, yet again it's very controversial. Another limbo. Fast forward to 2022 please, whole EV crap will be more certain for me to make a right decision.

I suspect we may see a few surprises with the 992 as well and may turn out to be less appealing than a 991. No doubt we will seeGobbike wrote: ↑Wed Oct 03, 2018 2:34 pm No matter how i spec my Macan, it's all comes to +/- 100K euro or 88K GBP. Same for old S Diesel and same for 'new' Petrol Base. Playtime on the Confuserator again
I missed an item off my previous config and Porsche, damn them, have the Spyders now at 21 inch so had to change to 20 inch to keep the extras here as I have with my Turbo, the result is a slightly cheaper config.
I still fail to see how you can get £70k+ on a config without going OTT on inclusions.

It's quite easy. You need to add a proper paint - new Crayon is killer. Add in the Sports Design kit in gloss black, tinted lights and lightbar (that looks quite cool actually), Sports Exhaust in black, 21 inch Sport Classics, a carbon interior, together with all your goodies and you're up there. My version looks amazing but c.£70k on the road is steep.
Could it be that some options are chargeable or a different price for the 2 litre than for the better models? If so we have to wait to see.Col Lamb wrote: ↑Wed Oct 03, 2018 3:22 pm Playtime on the Confuserator again

VG Petrol S http://www.porsche-code.com/PHIVCQU7 And a GT3 RS... by Lego! Not crash-tested!
Nice spec, missing essentials Entry&Drive and Lane Change Assist very handy,Col Lamb wrote: ↑Wed Oct 03, 2018 3:22 pm Playtime on the Confuserator again

20inc wheels arent nice, so 21',
i love 18ways,
sport design and painted sideblades,
sport exhaust and full leather and here we are in the 70+ zone.
I guess middle ground wise but plentiful spec will be around 65K, not less, more probably is over the top indeed.

As far as I know, you can't actually order a custom build car right now, or at least, they are not building them. Only pre-configured trim levels.

All this talk of speccing a base facelift Macan to £65k and over seems crazy to me unless serious depreciation is of no regard.

Hi All
With fear of being ridiculed, as 2ltr config is on line, with no date yet for 3ltr.
Would anyone consider going for 2ltr in place of 3ltr due to waiting time.
Have been waiting 7 months already for configurator.
Now give me best shots
