Nope. Especially not a detuned 2.0 which appears to be horrendously overpriced

With fear of being ridiculed, as 2ltr config is on line, with no date yet for 3ltr.

Would anyone consider going for 2ltr in place of 3ltr due to waiting time.

Have been waiting 7 months already for configurator.

New S is due 2nd Qtr 2019 at earliest. You can opt to put in a deposit for a place in the queue now. As to the 2 litre at c.£70k for a specced up example, go outside, place your money in a pile and set fire to it. You'll get a warmer glow!

I spec’d up a new 2 litre at £52.5k that I’d be more than happy with!

In terms of the new model I noted the PCM is new and I think LED headlamps are standard. The price rise of £400 seems modest. But the performance and fuel consumption don’t seem to have significantly changed. Cosmetic changes seem minimal.

Overall, like others, I am somewhat underwhelmed by the facelift, and disappointingly feel no compelling case to trade up my existing 2 litre.

Simply visit an OPC and drive both 2.0 and 3.0 S (current models) and decide whether it's worth the wait.

Speak to your dealership and ask how many 3.0 build slots they anticipate, and how many deposits they already have on their books. Just because the 3.0 may be launched soon does not necessarily mean you will get one soon!

Also ask the same question of 2.0 build slots; again, configurator availability does not necessarily translate into build avaiablility at your chosen dealership.

You’ll also now get a hoard of advice as to why you should not go for a 2.0😉😂😂

I guess availability for 2.0 build slots will be more plentiful than 3.0 slots.

Queues, deposits, slots, getting to line... Unless it's a knee jerk pattern of behaviour, there are zero arguments to sell original Macan, especially if bought new, for this new face-tuned non-sense. You are burning 20-40% depreciation hole for a same 99% but slightly face-lifted car. Alrite, you get Google Earth at a bigger screen, lightbar and ionizer, plus mamba chalk palette. Does it worth waiting, ordering, selling, trade-in, dealing with all this non-sense just to justify you driving a 'new' car? If you are buying your first Macan it is great time , go for it, but to flip one great thing into another it is just a step sideways, not even taking into account engine detune, and minimal increase power on higher trims. It's exactly like upgrading Iphone X into Xs, just a fashion statement, for what is worth why not go for Xs max - a new Cayenne or Cayenne Coupe when its out. This is also highly questionable move, but may be you need slightly bigger space, heads'up display, hybrid etc.

It's a chess stalemate situation for existing Macan owners. Thoughts?

My thoughts...wait ‘til mine is approaching 4 yrs old (sept ‘20) and have a facelift GTS lined up on order since about Dec ‘19 when it’s announced.

Plenty of time for the early rush to have died down and for Porsche to have ironed out all the newly created petrol particulate filter issues😂

That’s my plan. More likely finances will dictate I drive theSD into the ground.

That would be a big fat No from me.

A 2.0 is just to underpowered to haul a two tonne car around.

For driving like Miss Daisy yes a 2.0 would be fine.
