Thanks for the link Ian.

Are the costs you listed back in Feb 18 current
1 year extension £969
2 year extension £1715
111 point inspection £216

Are these costs on the Porsche UK website? I've been unable to locate them.

Having just had a leaky engine cooling system changed on our Audi - just out of warranty - which would have set us back around 1500 I think it is worth considering. As things stood Audi were pretty good and immediately offered to do it for free as goodwill. I thanked them but as I didn't have to quibble I believe it might be a known issue. Either way, with Porsche parts and labour even more expensive I'd fork out the money.
Deposit paid 14/12/13 - Picked up on 14/03/15.PF9FZLV2
GTS: PHVVUV96 Picked up on 16/06/16
Cayman GTS on order - due for delivery Nov '18

Don’t know if they are still current. Sorry. A quick phone call to an OPC will confirm

^ I took out the two year extension for £1440, and didn't pay for the 111-point inspection. Note that breakdown cover is not included in the above figures (and I didn't take that out anyway because I am covered by Nationwide).

I imagine “long-term” may not be so much of an issue for many forum members, …..Wing Co    , (we’ve just swapped our 18.5-year-old from new Golf), so I’m thinking it could be worthwhile aligning the servicing and warranty renewals/inspections.

Porsche UK published the 111 point check required to take out a Porsche Approved Warranty is included in Fixed Price Servicing.

We will probably take a 1 year extended warranty at our 2-year service. Together with the remaining 1-year manufacturing warranty, we are covered up until the major service @ 4 years. From then on 2-year warranty renewals align with 2-year servicing dates and inspections will be included in the service,

This obviously only works for cars being serviced on a time basis rather than a mileage basis, ours will only have 5k miles at it's 2-year service in Jan 19.

Ha ha! Very good!

Have absolutely no idea what you could be referring to... ;)

Currently loving my Carrera T (Porsche Number 4) and doing slightly more mileage than you guys. :P My car’s just over 7 months old and I’ve done 9,258 enjoyable miles already!

If I still have it beyond its 3rd birthday, my intention will be to self-insure... :geek: ...especially as I may contemplate some non-OPC enhancements...

I'm with you Wing on the self-insure route. Would go with the good will expectation and take my chances having bought a reliable make to start with.
Nothing like a Litchfield upgrade to the T to at three years to put the special back into it. :D
