Tesco fuel....you’ll have the Shell V-Power police after you[emoji23][emoji23]

Seriously - enjoy the GTS! Model of choice for those in the know[emoji6]
That Tesco fuel got me too.... two Porsche garages that I have been to now that use Tesco to fill up. My local East London garage has the choice of a BP, Sainsbury’s, Asda and Tesco and they always go to Tesco.

The garage I bought the GTS from said they always use Tesco too! Well, if it’s good enough for a GT3 911, who am I to argue.

:-)

And thank you... can’t quite wipe the smile off of my face....

Esso Super Plus, Total Excellium and BP Ultimate are 97 RON whereas Shell V-Power is 99. Surprisingly, Tesco Momentum is also 99 RON but Tesco may use more ethanol which may affect the calibration sensors that fine-tune the engine.

If you can convince yourself that Porsche fill up with the really expensive stuff all the time at Tescos, and cost does not influence the decision, then well done them.

I would suggest that, if you go to Tescos, at least fill up with the expensive stuff.

Out of interest, has anyone on this site actually ever asked anyone from Porsche what the respective octane numbers are for the various fuel suppliers?

The octane number is only part of the equation. Additives perform many functions before, during and after combustion and are vital to maintaining performance, reliability and longevity. Additives are expensive and this is where the supermarkets trim their costs in order to maintain a margin on fuel sales.

There will always be those who say they’ve always used the cheapest supermarket fuel and never had a problem but it’s probably be next owner who has!

Did the car not come with a full tank of fuel?! :?
Thank you WC! The dealer did put £25 of 99 Fuel - enough for me and the Mrs to get back home from the south coast.

Re the wheels - I wasn't sure on the 21"s (in terms of looks) before I went to see and try a few. I much preferred the look of the standard 20" Spyders. Happy to say that I have changed my mind and I think they look awesome now. Still suspect I may change my mind at some point and swap/sell for a set of Spyders...

Thank you all for your kind comments...

Still cloud-nineing after the weekend but very happy to look out the window and see those PDLS+ eyes looking back at me...

Need to pick up a key-chain and some fan-boy accessories... Any suggestions?
