I would have though the mechanic will be lucky if he get a tenth of the hourly rate.
I had a quick visit to the new big shinny showroom in Belfast this morning. Lovely place and all very friendly but cant be cheap to run. I don't think Belfast are as hard to pay as the OPC mentioned here.

BTW. Got an invite to the 992 launch on the 1st March. The SE was saying they have only this week got their first new car from the May shutdown.

I would have gone if it included the free fluids top ups this time...but no diesel means have to see where they are with EV in another 7 years.

Neither, not official, just word of mouth from Jonny when I called in the other day. Official invite will no doubt arrive later.

I have just dropped my Macan off at Mid Sussex Porsche for it's first service. They have already advised that their costs are not in line with the fixed price published on the Porsche web site (and mentioned in this thread).

Unfortunately they had no Macans for loan so I have had to accept a 911 GTS :D.

It is a lovely car for a short drive but I am not sure I could live with it full time as suspension is much harder than the Macan and I am getting too old to get in and out elegantly

I’ve Just taken my Macan Turbo into Dick Lovett Swindon for the 2 year service (c.11k miles).
£430 service cost & £95 brake fluid change.
(I declined air conditioning service).

No new Macan2 in showroom to see ☹️, although there is a black Macan1 with only 11miles on clock - no data sheet or price, & I didn’t enquire.

Free loan car of Panamera 4 for the day, complete with Sport crono 😀

( update - when I returned at 4pm there were 3x Macan2 in showroom - have posted a photo heavy thread)

Oh - and the Panamera also has the heated steering wheel option.
NOW I see (feel) what the fuss is about - I want !

Unfortunately a retro fit on my Macan would cost gazi££ions!
Might have to start scanning ebay....

Well that was interesting.

I was only charged the fixed cost service amount and had another 10% taken off because I was kept waiting around for an hour or so waiting for the car when I went to collect.

Mind you there was a charge of £12.50 for the loan car insurance that I wasn't expecting but the total was just a little over £500 so less than the fixed cost.

I did get chance to look at the new Macans in the showroom whilst waiting. I will not be rushing to get one

👍
Good result (especially after their initial quote and reaction to the fixed price servicing!)
