I'm looking forward to seeing a fully electric Cayenne and maybe it will now come along a little sooner!
Yeah...fantastic...what'll that beast weigh?? 3 tonnes?!

Well the Tesla X tips the scales at 2.5 tons so I imagine the Cayenne would be similar?

According to the configurator, "Due to an upcoming revision of specification, this model is not currently available for configuration as a new factory order. Please continue to use the Car Configurator to explore the model. For more information regarding availability please contact your preferred Porsche Centre."

I'd want a detailed chat with the salesperson on that nugget!
The global configurators are like this until WLTP is released, that is no news, since around mid-year.

The only difference globally is that they have been lazy to update all the optionals on the system for 2019 MY, already available when you go into the dealership.

If you are curious (like me) the new optionals are available in most European countries' confugurators as well as North America - worth having a look for new colour, interior colours, etc

Yes, most of Tesla's profits nowadays comes from selling emissions to other manufactors as far as I read recently

Well the Cayenne e-Hybrid appears to have a kerb weight of 2370 kg vs 2330 kg for my Tesla Model X 75D. So an electric Cayenne doesn't really have to be any heavier than it already is. With a bigger battery I suppose it could end up around 2500 kg like the Tesla X P100D.

The message on the configurator should read “Due to our inability to program the PCM so it functions correctly and the constant fault finding of all the wonky safety sensors, we cannot sell anymore of these cars”.
And yes, I’m still having issues.
Finally pursuaded the wife to drive the car at the weekend only for the car to constantly chime error messages as she drove. No less than 5 on our journey out & just the 1 on the way back.
Pretty bad, if I’m honest & it is finally starting to wear me down. 😞
