If that is the case then 2020 would certainly be a deal breaker for me.

It would be time for me to look elsewhere.

Yes - will check with the dealership as it sounds like a long wait

According to the configurator, "Due to an upcoming revision of specification, this model is not currently available for configuration as a new factory order. Please continue to use the Car Configurator to explore the model. For more information regarding availability please contact your preferred Porsche Centre."

I'd want a detailed chat with the salesperson on that nugget!

I specced up a hybrid cayenne the other day and I was rather depressed at how much money you pour into the options drain to get it worth having.
I still struggle with how much piss Porsche take when it comes to stuff that should be standard.

Anyway, I came up with http://www.porsche-code.com/PKYQH1P2 as a reasonably classy and comfortable vehicle.

Options: £ 18,731

(and you can't even option out the puke green callipers )
Used to have 2016 Macan Turbo PHCKCL70
Previously a 2014 Macan Turbo.
Now a 2021 Tesla Model 3 LR

Porsche really need to get their Corporate act together.

These mid term revisions must surely be the wrong way to develop any car company.

Would it not be better to concentrate on reducing the time period in developing a fully new version, forgo the mid term revisions and concentrate on the next version.

Yes Porsche make a very healthy profit at present but things are going to get tougher in the future and reliance on current and prior customer base will potentially leave then vulnerable.

As EVs become the norm a performance car is going to be readily available for even more buyers and if Porsche do not streamline car design and manufacture they could very well see overall sales decline. Potentially why by a Porsche when you will probably be able to buy similar performance for substantially less.

It’s a brave (?) man who criticises VW (Porsche) group strategy Col!

We are blissfully unaware of the bigger picture and continually moving goal-posts faced by all manufacturers, as this article demonstrates....

Interesting read. Looks time to put money into Tesla...looks though VAG will have to buy them out to achieve the required model range emissions target?
Expired Porsche code PJVNAUH5 Rhodium SD  Agate & Pebble

I'm looking forward to seeing a fully electric Cayenne and maybe it will now come along a little sooner!
