Sadly I've just said goodbye to my Macan Turbo PP, it's been by far the best car I've ever had.

I had the car for about 14 months over which time a change in work circumstances meant that I racked up about 13k miles in under a year. I was simply having soo much fun in the car I couldn't keep a lid on the mileage!

The highlights were taking the car down on a 10 day road trip down through to Barcelona taking in the Route Napoleon in France and other amazing mountain roads in Italy/France. The car was a dream to cruise in and also throw it around hairpin bends with handling ability that simply defied its size and weight. The car should simply not handle as good as it does, it's almost too good at what it does!

Ultimately I did yearn to be back in something slightly more raw and sports car like so I will be getting a 911 992 once my delivery slot is confirmed.
Being in the 911 Carrera 4 GTS at the Silverstone PEC was simply amazing and I needed a bit of that in my life!

As I had intended to only keep it for 2 years and PP's holding value very well, my dealer and I decided to put it up for sale. It promptly sold in 2 days and I nearly got all of my initial deposit back on the car. I'm not sure the 911 will hold this well!

I'll leave you with some pics of my former motor, the forum is great so it's always great reading posts on here!

Great photos - thanks for posting - clearly you have happy memories .

Out of curiosity - what was the asking price of your PP at the OPC?

Hope you don't miss it too much!

We drove down to Nice via Beaune a couple of weeks ago and back over the Massif Central; the Macan is so quiet and comfortable it's a real pleasure to drive.

The new 992 does look rather lovely.

^^^ Wow! That’s amazing for 14 months and over 13k miles! Less than 5% depreciation, although I appreciate that the £79k probably included a slice for the OPC.

I know what you mean about the mileage. I’ve done 10,300 in just over 8 months, and I work to work! :)

Yeah the depreciation for what I did was amazing, can't argue. Yes there was a small fee to the OPC who sold it SOR. Reduced rate due to the imminent 992 purchase and introduction of a few friends.....

Now back to the configurator......

your numbers are very similar to mine (moved Turbo PP to 991.2 GTS after 6 months). I lost about £5k in total (payments/deposit) but 5k on a 79k car was way better than I expected.

loving the GTS. best car i have owned by some margin.
