What a load of bollocks!

This is aspirational marketing and combined with discounting new models it looks like Porsche is heading towards joining BMW, Audi and Mercedes as a volume market product and residuals will be affected accordingly.

I suspect the Porsche cachet is likely to be seriously diminished over the next couple of years as they become little more than another subsection of the VW/Audi group. How very sad

Ummm. A lot depends on what national market the ad is aimed at - or if it’s a ‘voice-overed’ pan-world production.

And if the relevant FB pages are to be believed then it’s probably bang on in many respects.

VAG accountants must have squeezed Porsche marketing budget [emoji51] and created multi-culti ‘global’ ad.

Few points to note:
* Asian chick in Japanese or Korean kimono
* Non-descript metropolitan
* Young people listening to loud music
* Driving Macan in the city at night

Clearly I am not the target market [emoji38]

I guess more financial witchcraft will be required to sell Macan with no PASM, to unsuspecting kids in large cities.

We will buy one despite the cute kids in the ad.

I could think up a better video advertisement. Theme - A kid at school, saying that his/her Dad/Mum has just bought a new Macan. The next morning, a crowd of kids and parents in the street, outside the kid's home, waiting and then cheering as the Mum/Dad fires up the engine and drives off. Simple.

Not “next morning” but “after six months.”
