Hi folks,

Contacted a general lease company who told me quote: .. "Porsche currently hasn’t released rates [for current model] however factory orders are estimating early 2020 for a lead time"

Is 2020 delivery credible? also Mac prices are back on the confuserator as of yesterday, so I suspect the first part is baloney too.

For delivery lead-in, I suspect it's more likely that facelift sales are pretty strong and that Porsche are simply not releasing to 3rd party suppliers at the mo?

any intel on custom-order Mac delivery time frames from OPCs?

cheers

For what engine / spec car? The 2.0L car or one of the 3.0L cars? But yes, I also suspect that Porsche is not rushing to supply via lease companies.

I understand that 2.0L pre-configured units are already in the country and built to order are in full scale production.

I hear from OPC that few 3.0L pre-config cars might land in March with built to order units landing from May.

NB. currently, no shipments are planned for April! I think this year we will have a biggest ever fools day - 1-Apr [emoji51]

Thanks guys - makes sense,

I was not specific on the model in my request, it was a general enquiry because their web-site front-end was only offering previous models as factory-orders - they just volunteered the 2020 claim.

Anyways my target date for delivery of my next car is late Dec2019/Jan2020 - so I will be trying to plan when to place the order accordingly - Macan is close to top of the list - so I think I will visit OPC in springtime.

There are one (Adrian991) or more forum members who already have their facelift Macan 2.0s.

Best bet, as you say, is to contact an OPC directly.

I'd imagine lease companies are way down the food chain for getting their hands on new Porsche models...

I had a 4 day lead time for my Macan 2.0 :-)

Went into my OPC on 20th and picked it up on the 24th. They have a few stock models with quite good extras.

I was also offered a Feb build slot on a V6 model.

I would get your order in now and fix the price as there will be chaos after Brexit and possible tariffs applied. Porsche must have the capacity to build plenty of cars now they don't do the Diesels.

You can't fix the price. You'll pay whatever it costs at time of collection.

Correct. I got a double kicking when I bought my GT3 back in 2010. Got hit for price increase and the VAT increase.

Thanks guys - sounds like I will be ok to go to OPC in spring - and take it from there -

If I go Macan - it will be a factory order.
