I took our Macan into work this morning. -0.5 to -1.0 degrees outside according to the OBD. As normal I flicked on seat heating to No 1 (1 light) and steering wheel heating, same as I do in the 718S.

I can't help feel that the Macan is much warmer all round. After a few moments I had to turn off the seat heating as it was getting uncomfortable and I remarked to myself about two miles into my journey that the wheel was nice and toasty. I have not noticed either of these in the 718 so far. They get warm, yes, but not hot like the Macan.

I must get out the digital temperature device and actually measure them. Anyone else notice similar in their non-McCanns?

Wife finds the seat of the 911 quite a bit hotter than the Macan. She likes the Macan on 3 but even she can't take that in the 911 for long! I'd say the steering wheels are about the same for heating.

Seats do get a bit to hot.

Three lights gives third degree burns to my butt, (sorry for inflicting that thought on you).

I had steering wheel heating on my SD before I swapped to the S which doesn't have it. I couldn't stand it. I don't know how people put up with it. It causes your palms to go clammy and is, frankly, uncomfortable. It's more gimmick than practical.

Seats get too hot for me...I would love for the seat heat to switch off and just the backrest to stay on. Steering wheel is great but again only need it for 5min

Macan's seats with Alcantara heat up very quickly compared to the all leather ones in our 2019 MY Leon.

Turn Macan down to no.1 setting after 5 mins. Leon needs 15 mins to get hot, then stay on no.2.

Never had the need for a heated steering wheel here in the balmy SW. The vents provide plenty of hot air quickly in both cars, if hands do need a bit of warmth.

I suggest you get that seen to (the obviously malfunctioning seat, not your butt!).

Heated seats and heated wheels are essential to me. Would not buy without. Appreciate not everyone is as bothered as me though.

I specced my last car, a Cayman S - 981 meticulously, with around £17ks worth of options.

And forgot the heated seats, which cost all of about £75!

Not a mistake, I intend to make again.

When I was looking for my current car I did not even look at cars without heated seats and a heated wheel.
