Cheers, Alex! I might test the water with the insurance company first, before committing to expenditure.alxgb wrote: ↑Mon Jan 21, 2019 12:42 pmInsurance companies and loss adjusters are the scum of the earth and if you lowered the car and had a claim, they would find some way to repudiate your claim on that basis. If the Litchfield tune is OBD, you should be able to revert to stock without trace.Wing Commander wrote: ↑Sun Jan 20, 2019 9:49 pmHa ha! You boys! Not sure I’m brave enough just yet to get the engine tuned, for fear of the effect on the warranty, not to mention the insurance...
Thinking of changing to a McLaren 570S

Sorry. Simon's Carrera T has about 600 pages on topic but there are various O/T diversions all over.CharlesElliott wrote: ↑Mon Jan 21, 2019 9:07 pm And back on topic

My comment on thread hijacking was meant in a light hearted way, I don’t mind
I really fell in love with the cars and sat in a 540C, two 570S (one with track pack) and 570S Spider. They are very focussed and sparse inside. They are definitely meant for driving hard, and not cruising or trying to be a GT. The (small) showroom staff were happy to spend time with me and my wife, showing us lots of cars, talking about the market and how things might look going forwards. I want one!
On the way back we stopped at OPC Guildford - I do really like the Carrera T, although the back seats with no back seats is strangely annoying to me. They had a GT3 RS and GT2 RS in the showroom but they just don’t do it for me.
We are currently trying to move house as well so I need that to work itself out a bit, but definitely intend on getting one once that is clear.
Charles
PS all impressions based on ‘looks’ and emotion so far. I will drive them and a few 911s before I actually hand over money. And sorry, no pics!

Thanks for the update, Charles. Sounds like you’re smitten.
As you mentioned the Carrera T I opted for rear seats (as quite a few have) for practicality reasons. Most weekends I have a back seat passenger at some point, and the T is my sole car.
If I could afford one, I’d find it really annoying that the 991.2 GT3 with Touring Pack has no rear seats.
Enjoy your test drives!
