Soooo,

My 18month old fully loaded Macan Turbo gave up. Lucky its in the drive of our holiday home. Porsche assist picking it up tomorrow. Has been faultless untill now, but the loud rattling noise it makes from under the bonnet, just opening the door and not even putting on the ignition, sounds like its gonna fall to pieces! 😬.

Uuurch, disappointed.

47.000km which is about 30.000 miles I believe?
I’m pretty convinced its the compressor for the air suspension...
At least I have good wine and truffels (home grown), to eat/drink deception away 😅.
Next car will have less complicated stuff on it that’s for sure. Whatever the brand, they all sell us complicated options, but its often these things that give.

Sorry to hear about your Macan, but I see you have a food for your soul!
I agree on the over complicated options... keep it simple and enjoy it for many years.

Actually, I drive a Volvo too, just to not kill the macan off too quickly. Done 58.000km in that one in 21 months 😅. Yeah, I’m a milemuncher, but love being on the road. Mostly long trips between offices in different countries and home-holidayhome. No traffic jams.

Update: car should be ready for me by thursday. Compressor from the air suspension needs to be changed out. Disappointing after 18 months already, but I guess those things happen sometimes. Car gets another chance, not a second one though or “for sale” sign slapped on it 😅.

I have to say, I am quite pleased with the service provided by porsche assistance and the OPC in Avignon up to this point. All very professional and friendly.

Its not hard to see how air suspension thats so lauded in a new car becomes a liability on a five year plus second hand car.
