Paul’s advice is spot on, spent decades doing app 30k motorway miles a year changing cars at 60 or 90k all were serviced on time, rarely went above 2/2500 revs, massive miles on tyres and brakes without change. The greatest consumption was windscreen wash. Oh and de-icer 🥶😉

What does she drive now? How close does she sit to the steering wheel?
Our current daily is a BMW M135i. Although I tend to do most of the driving she is very happy to drive this without issue.
She is competent, in fact in her earlier years used to sprint and hillclimb a Lotus 7, but now just into her 60s seems to have lost confidence, probably my fault being OCD about the slightest mark. She does drive my F-Type but only really happy on dual carriageways or motorways, and would never take it out around the Dorset lanes. Her concern is the same about the Macan, will she feel it is too wide. Only getting her into the driving seat will do but, she keeps reminding me how much she likes the BMW size, so still some convincing.

Thanks for all the comments, we are going together to view the car which is a positive first step.
I viewed yesterday alone just to make sure it was as described and it was even better!

All fair feedback, but I'm confident she will feel safe and secure.

She'd looked at them lots but my wife didn't actually drive a Macan until she drove ours out of the showroom. I'd done a test drives months earlier but she wasn't there. I just told her it was perfect and she'd love it. She does, despite doing all the narrow supermarket car parks etc.

The high seating position will inspire confidence, especially if she's a bit short like my wife. Comfort entry is essential with our chalk & cheese seating positions.

Get a grip.....ask any Greek taxi driver and 750k is only breaking an engine in!!!

I do 30k a year and have put 100k on lots of cars with no issues..... the engine isn’t the issue, it’s the electronics, normally because of poor battery condition. Run a car and it will last for ages!,

It’s still for sale. Doesn’t bode well for others with high mileage :(
