Good to hear an OPC doing the decent thing and under warranty.

Hello i had this issue after a year and was told the drainage points were blocked with leaves. this was the second porsche turbo id had and always parked outside nowhere near trees. the garage unblocked the leaves but it kept happened and water was pooling on the passenger footwell. they then said it was faulty sunroof lining and replace under warranty and that it was a known fault with a particularly batch of sunroof lining. haven't had the problem since.

My car's in for 2-year service, and the OPC has sent a video and quote for the extra work they say needs doing. £182 to clean the roof drains, which don't seem to have a problem. £269 to "service" the aircon, which is working perfectly. £274 to replace the front brake pads, which only have 6mm left! £660 to replace two rear tyres which still have at least 3mm on them (that's a couple of hundred more than I'd expect to pay). Oh, and the spare wheel is apparently 62% worn, despite the fact it's never been used. I gracefully declined their offers...

Mind you, if the rears really are on 3mm (and I’d measure them myself....) I’d probably replace them.....

andreas, regarding over-priced quote for rear tyres. I had a quote the other day from my OPC for two rear Pirellis (305/30 20”) for £905. One had a nail in and they were down to 3.3mm and 3.5mm. I shopped around (Black Circles) and got a price for four Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tyres for less than £1,000. After some haggling, the OPC agreed to fit four new Michelins for £1,000.

The overall OPC behaviour that you report above sounds very disappointing. :(

that is pretty shocking! think I'd report that to the DP and put a warranty claim in for supplying a 62% worn spare ;)

I just replaced two rears (as missus nicked the sidewall of one on a kerb) - £400 for two 21" Michelin latitude sport 3

Best over priced quote I’ve had was for replacement of a smashed front fog light at £478. The part was £117 and it takes 2 minutes to swap out. So I make that £10K/hour labour.

One of my fog lights got mysteriously smashed a couple of months ago. I looked online and saw that the Porsche part was over £100. Then I did a bit more looking and found that the fog light is identical to lights in a whole range of cars including Citroen, Fiat & Ford. I ordered one for £25 delivered from a German website - bestpartstore.co.uk It arrived by courier within a few days and it was a quick and easy DIY job to swap it.
