Congrats and nice review 👍

My test drive 2.5 years ago was in an SD and have to say it was superb.
Still can’t find anything to match the Macan overall satisfaction.

Great write up of your Macan journey - congrats on the 1000th post! Only month 2 for me and I'm still smitten - walk out the front door in the morning and my Macan puts a smile on my face and that's before I drive it! :D

I've been a committed Audi man but wanting an SUV, the new shape Q5 was desperately dull and the SQ5, though quick is no more exciting. I was in a real quandary on what to buy. I never seriously imagined buying a Porsche until I saw my Macan advertised by my local OPC on Autotrader. The whole buying experience was fantastic and I have to say I can't imagine buying any other marque now :)

Hi SAC1,

Great review, I would agree with your comments, but cannot match your mpg! I don't thrash the car but rarely get above 30 mpg in normal use [based on filling the tank then refilling, not via cars computer] it can climb to 33 on a long run if all downhill :)

Hello Spicky
i've posted pic this before showing the on board gauge - averaging 61.5 mph over a 4 hour drive - here the 43.8 mpg is probably a true 40 mpg.

Her 50-mile commute is cross country for the first 10 miles or so then motorway to Belfast.

Congrats on your 1,000th post on our friendly forum! Or indeed your 1,006th now! ;)

Saw a couple of Macans out on the open road yesterday. Still a handsome car and best in class! :)

I'm glad your happy with the SD, mine has been a similar experience from the aloof dealers and no discounts to the same tyres at 42000miles and no drama other than the transfer box going a few thousand miles ago. MPG is steady at an average 43mpg with over 50 possible in slow traffic, but I do have a TDI performance duel channel box fitted from new
