Been quoted £1850 to replace discs and pads on the macabre turbo. Seems a little steep, even by OPC standards ?

Has anyone had recent experience to indicate what is a sensible price ?

Thanks in advance for any views.

I'll be hitting that soon, I think. What mileage are you on?

My Macan S had its 2nd year service and brake fluid change yesterday with 14 k on the clock
My tyres have about 2mm left so they expect them to require replacement around July £1000.00
Then my brakes have about 50% so maybe another 12 months cost £1500.00
Next year we will need the extend the warranty either 1 or 2 years cost £800 per year.
So your brakes sound about right it’s the total cost that adds up though😎
Having said that the service is very reasonable yesterday was £380.00
Total ownership gets you in the fact that these cars don’t depreciate the same as others but the running cost are higher to off set this.
They always get you one way or another 😂😂😂😂

I seem to remember a member a while ago commenting that their quoted cost for new discs was over £2k.

BTW
Fixed Price Servicing is available and for the 2 year Minor it is £430 plus £95 for brake fluid change, do not skimp and not include the latter you are driving a performance car after all. Ask about fixed price servicing before you commit to an OPC, ado ask them to check and reoprt on (1) transfer box condition (2) disc brake condition (2) condition of pads (3) that they clean out the Pano roof drainage if you have one fitted.

Surprised you didn't get them changed. Seems you're heavy on tyres so perhaps you'd be safer on a new set. Remember wide tyres are more susceptible to aquaplaning so take it steady in the rain.

+1. Porsche recommend new tyres when they’re down to 3mm, rather than the legal minimum.

I imagine the OPC advised you to change them now?

I'm sure Porsche probably recommend that we should buy a new car every 2 years :D :D :D
