I have driven many S and RS models and they really do stick to the road like glue in all weather conditions. I would also be surprised if the Porsche 4WD is on a par with the Quattro as again i have never had an issue whether in snow, ice, floods or other horrendous conditions. Would clearly be delighted if it is.

Quattro is just a audi brand these days and the actual AWD system comes from haldex

I believe the Macan uses the same system as the Carrera 4s which is also a haldex system?

It comes down to which flavor of haldex system they used if it’s front wheel biased and sends the power to the rears if it’s losing traction or rear wheel biased with the remaining power to the fronts. The cayenne had a menu you could bring up that told you how the power was distributed

Darkness, not sure I agree with your statement above? Unlike VW and Audi vehicles that do use Haldex pumps I dont think you will find the same with Porsche ( Maybe different for the new 2 litre Golf derived engine though?) Porche use their own developed multi plate clutch system.

I was overtaken today by a VW Bora belching out more black smoke than a banana boat. Boy was it quick. I didn’t take the bait but an A7 did. I reckon if I had tried to keep up my SD would have had an asthma attack. I don’t think a GTS would have gone past the smokey Bora on the low side of 120. The Audi looked very quick.
Macan SD Vocano Grey. LEDs, Pano Roof, PSE, Sports Chrono, PASM, Sports Design Mirrors, 21" Sports Classics in Black, lots of other extras.
