You know it, I know it and it must surely bring tears to Paul’s eyes knowning it is true.

Turbo is the Daddy.

Turbo PP is the Grandaddy.

GTS is the pretentious offspring Wannabee.

In fairness a GTS is a bit more than trick suspension and Bling, not much, but Bling is Bling and for me paying for a Sports Exhaust (cΒ£1600 in the list price) is simply not worth it for a circuit that opens the exhaust valve flaps and turns on a speaker (sorry Resonator) that is attached to the bodywork.

..mind you, in a proper footrace I think I’d prefer to be a young offspring rather than a Daddy or even a Grandaddy! πŸ˜‰πŸ˜‰πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

No no no. The Turbo is boring. It’s for the oldies doing shopping trips.

The younger ones prefer the GTS 😊
Or at least it makes us feel young with all the noise πŸ˜‚

Thanks for the info guys. I can now also concur that my Β£3k got me β€œon the list” for the GTS so not actually ordered so that’s my bad. I must have been mesmerised by all the options on the Configurator.

They did mention they were told it would be Q4 this year but it sounds like a similar time to the Turbo. Either way I feel a lot more comfortable with the process now and you guys have been a great help. I’m okay waiting as I really like my car and it’s nice to have a V8 before they all sadly die.

Col, Mike, I like the power of the turbo but if I were to spend that i’d definitely go RS Audi. They’re unbelievable and much quicker than the Macan turbo. My current car is quicker than the turbo so i’ve made peace with the fact i’m buying a slower car which has different characteristics and am happy to go for a quick suv.

Money no object (e.g. won lottery) I'd still need to have a good think about whether to go Turbo or GTS. Obviously I'd tick all the options on the confuserator, like leather seat carcasses, rear view mirror and grab handles. I'd go crazy!!

Typical responses from you young upstarts :D

Going for the Bling everytime :!:

Now where's me Pipe and Slippers?

You know the ones we old fogies with our Turbos have, the tartan ones with the sheepskin lining.
