Porsche GB must know whether this car is a PEC car as it would be in their system for all sorts of internal audit purposes. I suspect if it’s not been a PEC car it’s been perhaps a Press car or some other type of internal fleet car. I seem to recall that you were told it was a managers car which sounds dubious to me. Either way it sounds that it’s had a hard initial start to its life - get out now if you can as there is no shortage of pre reg facelift cars available.

Porsche UK have discussed the reasons behind my disappointing Porsche Experience and my dissatisfaction with the Porsche brand with the OPC that sold the Macan to me. I received an Email from the OPC agreeing with Porsche UK that this situation was not commensurate with the Porsche brand and shouldn't have happened. To rectify my lack of confidence in the Macan they suggested 2 options, option 1 they buy the Macan back and option 2 I purchase a new Macan(with discount I hope) I added a third option my Macan be exchanged for another Macan with a full service history. I'm astounded with the whole situation and have no doubt that a company like Porsche must keep some form of audit trail on vehicles they own therefore their reluctance to share those detail for my Macan with me means it must have been used on the track during PEC events which would explain how the brake discs have worn so heavily in 3400 miles. The OPC sales manager and principal are discussing matters and plan to contact me hopefully today to discuss the situation.

Hey Rick, glad you've got what seems some satisfactory outcome forthcoming. Contrary to what you may have thought, I had no hidden agenda. I was on your side.
Good luck.
Good luck.
There was actually a thread a while ago that pointed out that the PEC cars were generally on a Reading number plate, hence started with RE ..

Hi Rick. If they cannot offer to supply you with a suitable alternative car I would reject the car and get your full money back. No shortage of cars to buy with decent discounts.

I contacted Porsche UK last Thursday in order to ascertain a time frame for when I'll be supplied with details of the options available for me to decide my preferred route out of this situation. The response to my enquiry was along the lines that Porsche UK are working closely with the OPC to ensure my situation is I rectified in a timely manner. I appreciate this situation is a huge headache for the OPC but it isn't my fault if Porsche UK are unable or reluctant to supply me with the history of a vehicle they owned and appear reluctant to deny it's been used at Silverstone. I still find it difficult to believe they don't have records of what they use each of their vehicles for. I suspect this could drag on and I'll have to nudge Porsche UK and the OPC every few days, in the mean time I'm having to use the Macan and racking up the miles.....
