My Macan doesn't have comfort entry or whatever keyless entry is called yet I can fold the mirrors but can't lock/unlock the doors remotely via the App but I can do both remotely using the fob. Who the hell wants to fold mirrors remotely but not lock /unlock the doors. I sense a con, you want to lock/unlock your Macan via the App cough up for comfort entry when technically it's not required...RickZ wrote: ↑Thu Apr 04, 2019 8:44 pm
In my Porsche Good To Know app it says I must have Entry & Drive to be able to lock my doors remotely. I can see the status of the doors from within the app but cannot lock them from the app. My car is a 991.2 with PCM 4.0. Other models & PCM’s May differ.

You definitely can’t unlock remotely so I think you have the answer.

My understanding is the 992 and the new Cayenne you can lock and unlock using the app.
You also get notified if the alarm goes off too on these 2 models.
You also have Valet parking mode which allows you to set a geo location and speed setting so you get notified if someone is driving outside the zone or too fast.
Don’t understand why it’s not available on the New Macan though....

Ohh and to confuse matters more the new cayenne has some additional features on top of the above
You can preheat the cabin. Or cool it all via the app
If it’s an EHybrid you can see battery info
So maybe more useful in a cayenne

There was quite a bit of difference between the new Cayenne system and the Panamera’s before it. I have posts in the technical sections somewhere asking why I couldn’t do things that were available on the panamera. I guess the Porsche programmers just like to change things for changing sake.Kasfranks99 wrote: ↑Sat Apr 06, 2019 9:28 pm Ohh and to confuse matters more the new cayenne has some additional features on top of the above

Nope. I had access to the info for the first 12 months of my new Porsche, but did not sign up for the tracker, as not needed by my insurer.

This is exactly what I was told when I bought my car. I have my car booked in tomorrow for a few bits on a wait appointment and asked them to activate this while there. They want £93 as it is half hours labour! I have queried this will see what they do on my appointment tomorrow.

Does this allow you to switch on the ac or heating remotely?
